Menopause Treatment Options

Welcome! I am so glad you've landed here. My mission is to provide empowerment and clarity for menopausal women seeking answers and solutions as their bodies enter a new chapter. My treatment approach is to present the full range of treatment options in menopause. Whether you are looking for hormone replacement therapy options, comprehensive and functional hormone testing, or research-based information on nutrition targeted for metabolism, I look forward to sharing all this information with you.

Menopause is a natural transition that women experience when their bodies eventually no longer have menstrual cycles. Before, during and after menopause there are considerable hormone fluctuations in a woman's body. For some this transition is seamless and for others this transition can be confusing and frustrating as your body shifts into a new pattern of functioning. Your body is settling into the new version of you!

Hormones begin to decline after the age of 35, menopausal symptoms can be experienced in peri-menopause as the hormones are fluctuating. These symptoms are listed below and can be managed bio-identical hormone replacement, nutrition and lifestyle changes. Post-menopausal women may no longer experience the highs and lows of hormones, but are at higher risked for heart disease and osteoporosis. You can find more information in the recent blog posts listed below.

Menopause Approaches:

Hormone Replacement

Hormones decline in menopause and these hormones are important for women's health. More research is essential for improving quality of life.

 Lab Testing

To establish baseline hormones and ensure safety and efficacy while using HRT it is recommend to test hormones, cortisol, cardiovascular and metabolic markers.

Imaging

Imaging for ensuring longevity and quality of life may include: mammograms, colonoscopy, pelvic ultra sound, DEXA bone density, and Carotid artery scan for plaque build up.

 Nutrition & Supplements

Nutrition a foundational pillar in healthy aging. Food is information and building blocks in your body. Supplements for hot-flashes etc; are supplemental to a good quality diet.

Exercise

Exercise and movement are essential for longevity and continued mobility as you age.
Ex; Cardio, weights, walking, stretching and avoiding long periods of sedentary behaviors.

Sleep & Cortisol

Quality sleep is essential for maintaining a healthy body and mind. Being mindful of stress during the day and sleep hygiene is beneficial for maintaining health in menopause.
